Don't be like those rappers who wear a red hat, red t-shirt, blue jeans and a red pair of trainers. As an adult, your colour co-ordination should be more sophisticated than that. Be more astute. Be cute in your approach. Think out of the box. Note, that doesn't mean think outlandishly. There is no need to break the rules per say, but bend and twist them. Re-shape them.
The best co-ordination is sometimes not even in the colour, but in the whole picture. Think differently. Think holistically.
Autumn rustic colours are some of the best for co-ordination. They are often more than a block colour. They have a feel and character. In fact you could say that autumn colours have the most character. It's a transitional season and the colours reflect that as well. In autumn you’ll see various rich colours amalgamating together.
Just as the mouth can taste if something is off, so can the eyes in terms of colour co-ordination. Similarly the eyes can 'taste' if something is right. There are no black and white [pardon the pun] rules to co-ordination.
ps. All colours are equal, but black is always an easy option. The truest fashionistas and fantasistas never take the easiest option.
